BusTravel Iceland · Djúpivogur port
If your cruise calls at Djúpivogur in the eastern fjords, a BusTravel Iceland coach meets you at Akkeri pier and drives you to Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach and back in about seven hours. Pick it because it's the only realistic way to see the lagoon from that port.

Djúpivogur is a small fishing village in the eastern fjords and a tender port: ships anchor offshore and bring passengers in by boat. From there, Jökulsárlón is much closer than from Reykjavík. A guest timed the drive at about an hour and 45 minutes without stops, along the coast past the turn-off to Höfn.
The guide waits at Akkeri pier with a tour sign. At the lagoon you get one hour, then 30 minutes at Diamond Beach, which the listing calls Fellsfjara. On the way back there's a 30-minute photo stop below Eystrahorn, the horn-shaped mountain over the Hvalnes peninsula. The whole tour is about seven hours, timed to the ship, with up to 59 people per coach and Wi-Fi on board.
The risk is the sea, not the road. If the wind is too strong for tenders, you can't get ashore, and guests on this listing report both rebookings and refusals. Some groups also skipped the Eystrahorn stop or got back early. Food isn't included: guests bought lunch from the food trucks at the lagoon. The boat ride is extra and seasonal, from May to about 15 November.
