BusTravel Iceland · Reykjavík, Höfðatorg (Bus Stop 12)
BusTravel Iceland picks you up early, stops at Stjórnarfoss on the way east and gives you an hour at Jökulsárlón and half an hour on Diamond Beach, then an hour in Vík and Seljalandsfoss on the way home. Pick it for the beach: 30 minutes on the sand is the longest Diamond Beach stop of the day trips.

BusTravel Iceland's run to the lagoon has more reviews than any other trip on this site, 769 at 4.7. Pickup starts at 7:00 am and can take up to 30 minutes, so wait at your stop from the time on your ticket. If you go straight to the meeting point, it's Bus Stop 12 at Höfðatorg, Þórunnartún 1. Coaches take up to 65 people.
The route is lighter on waterfalls than the Reykjavik Excursions days and heavier on the end of the line. Thirty minutes at Stjórnarfoss near Kirkjubæjarklaustur on the way out, then one hour at Jökulsárlón and 30 minutes on Diamond Beach. The hour in Vík on the way back is for dinner, and the last stop is 30 minutes at Seljalandsfoss. Guests often mention extra photo stops when the guide has time, such as Reynisfjara.
Two things to know. The boat is an extra you add for a fee, and a few reviews say their guide pushed it hard, or that the group waited for the boat people. And with no proper lunch stop listed, one guest ate dinner at 6 pm after a 7 am start. Eat a big breakfast and pack a lunch, and you'll be fine.
Wait at your stop from the time on your ticket; the round of pickups can take up to 30 minutes.
A waterfall near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, the first sightseeing stop.
Time on the shore, or the boat if you added it.
Ice on the black sand on the ocean side of the bridge.
Dinner and a look at the black beach.
The waterfall you can walk behind, then the drive to Reykjavík.
★★★★★The day was long but well worth the time, we saw so many things and made so many memories. The coach driver/guide was excellent - Halli. He was informative and interesting to listen to.
★★★★★This tour far exceeded our expectations, I was a little concerned as the day was so long. But bathroom and food stops were more than generous. We did everything promised in the tour and then some!!
★★★★★I was nervous to book a tour for such a long single day, but this was well worth the bus trip/driving time. Sunny, our guide, was awesome and took great care of us and gave wonderful info.
★★★★★Long day, but worth it. All the sites are so pretty. The driver was very cautious when the wind was gusting. The guide was very good
