Gray Line Iceland · Reykjavík, BSÍ terminal
Gray Line's coach leaves BSÍ at 7:30 am, stops at Skógafoss, gives you an hour at Jökulsárlón and comes back past Seljalandsfoss. Pick it for the price: at $184 it's the cheapest seat to the lagoon on this site.

Gray Line's day is the budget way to see the lagoon. A coach of up to 50 people leaves the BSÍ terminal at 7:30 am and drives east with a guide on the microphone. The listing says about 14.5 hours. Skógafoss gets 30 minutes on the way out, enough to climb some of the stairs to the top, and Vík gets two 45-minute meal stops.
At Jökulsárlón you get one hour. Diamond Beach is not a separate stop: the listing suggests you walk over during that hour, across the Route 1 bridge to the black sand. That's doable, but you have to choose between a long look at the lagoon and a proper wander on the beach. On the way back, 20 minutes at Seljalandsfoss.
The boat is listed as not included. Guests say the driver can sometimes book tickets from the bus for those who want them. Gray Line's rating is the lowest of the day trips here, 4.4, and most of the bad reviews are about missed pickups, not the day itself: guests waited at the wrong stop or for the wrong time. Confirm your pickup point and time with Gray Line the day before, and look for a coach marked Reykjavik Excursions, as the listing says.
Be at your pickup point 30 minutes early if you chose pickup.
Time to see the falls from below and climb part of the staircase.
Lunch, souvenirs or a short walk to the beach.
The lagoon, plus a walk across the bridge to the beach if you're quick.
A second stop in Vík on the way back.
The last stop, often in the dark from autumn, then Reykjavík.
